London born Joel Nonoo was raised in Bahrain and educated in England. His multicultural upbringing exposed him to a diverse collection of musical influences and genres, showcasing a unique outlook for modern classical music.

 

His love of Baroque and Romantic music, which he incorporates into his own ideas, is inspired by the composers of the 18th & 19th Centuries, including Bach, Chopin and Alkan.

Joel's debut album Genesis reflects the start of his musical journey.  Each of these compositions can stand alone as each have a unique story.  With an understanding that not everyone loves classical music, Joel is passionate about trying to introduce this genre to an audience who would normally overlook it.
